Vexilar transducer float, arm, or other??

I’ve been getting progressivly more angry at fish getting caught around my vexilar float. This time of year I am still using my 6″ auger so it happens more often than in the 8″ hole. I use a pro pack vex and am wondering if anyone is using an aftermarket arm to hold up the ice-ducer or something else like the eye that comes with the vex that screws into the front to put the cord through.
