Yamaha Freshwater Flush Device?

    I’m confused.

    When I bought my 150hp, the dealer told me I could hook up a hose to the freshwater flush and run the motor. Recently I purchased a 75hp and the dealer told me I could NOT run the motor using that method! Which is it??? I actually did run my 150 a few times without ill effects….did I just get lucky?
