10W – 40 Oil

    Is there any difference between 10W-40 oil labeled for marine use vs 10W-40 for automobiles, motorcycles, atv’s etc? I have a Suzuki outboard that calls for 10W-40, but can’t seem to find any marine brands (Merc, Yamaha, Sierra etc) that come in 10W-40.

    i think marine grade has additives to help against moisture. as for were to get marine 10w-40 did you try fleet farm?

    I might try Nelson Marine (I’ll call before I go -)

    I sell a amsoil 10w40 syn marine oil that I have in stock I can ship you or you can try a local amsoil dealer

    Thank you very much for the offer. I did find some Suzuki Marine 10W-40 today.
