    Avid Rods are on sale @ Gander right now. Got a nice 7′-0″ for $100, reg. price $170.

    I think this is universal as a new product is coming out for ’08.

    thats right , the handle has been changed , so all Avids on the market are about 100 bucks to make way for the new 08’s !! Awesome rod

    Actually the entire product has been redesigned to incorporate the manufacturing techniques and materials used in the Elite and Tournament Series rods. It is going to be pretty darn hard for the “made in china” wannabees to offer anything like this product.

    This sale is happening to blow out the existing Avids built using 2007 materials and technology. You won’t see any of the 2008’s on sale… anywhere.

    As for the Legend Tournaments… no sale there either.

    Are the Avid Muskie rods on sale? Maybe. If you can find a retailer with lingering 2007 stock my guess is they’ll be willing to move them at a discount.

    Dean sold out ALL of his 2007 Avids already. Either that or he’s hiding stock in the back room.

    I guess it wouldn’t hurt to call him and ask to see what he has, if anything.
