I’m getting ready to buy a tiller boat. Is anyone running a Lund 2010? How do they compare to 620T and 2090BT?
I agree. If your a backtroller, I’d be lookin hard at the 2090BT.
The 2010 with the Power Mert steering is a sweet rig. But for that kind of price point, I would go with glass.
I run an 1890 and am looking to go to the 2090. I have buddy that has a 620 and i dont like how the floor is set up. Warrior has more room down the middle of the boat and the seats are stagerd to one side or the other, as ranger runs them right down the middle. Thus giving you more floor space. I would go Warrior hands down. If I were going to a councle boat, I would tip my hat to ranger. Good luck on getting your new boat.

Alumacraft makes a sweet boat in their Tournament Pro series. I have heard alot of good things about this boat. If you are going with Lund then check out their new Preditor tiller 2010 also. Warrior has a nice 2090 BT boat in glass and Ranger has a 18 ft and 20 ft boat.
Thanks, Bill

I do own a T-Pro 175 tiller. It’s a wet ride if the lake is rolling.
The I’ve been interested in the 2095 BT Yar-Craft.
I have fished out of the warrior and yarcraft tillers, simply awesome boats, not cheap but awesome!
I have owned a 2090 Warrior, a 620T, and now own a 2095BT. First of all one cannot go wrong by buying anyone of these boats. I would say the biggest differance between the three is the interior layout. The Warrior is at one extreme the Ranger at the other and the Yarcraft somewhere in the middle. Feel free to ask any questions and Ill give you my opinions. Dan
Try to take a ride in a Yarcraft before you make your decision. That is one dry, smooth ride in the rougher water. I could give you a lead on a nice 2006 2098BT demo that is priced pretty good… (at a dealership, not something I’m trying to sell…)

Dan, it sounds like you would be the best judge to compare the three.
What are your thoughts of the lockable compartment for your electronics on the Yar Craft?
I run a Pro-V tiller and can’t see myself without the convenience of that compartment.
Did all three run about the same in rough water?

As different as the three hulls are I would say they ride about the same. The Warrior feels like a big boat, it seems harder to control backtrolling but worked great for trolling downriggers. The Ranger handled like a boat that is smaller than it really is. I really like the extra width inside that the Yarcraft offers. I have a 104c and a 25c mounted in my elec box. They just fit but I really like the smoke lexan cover for night trolling and for when my wife sprays on sun tan lotion. I also like the fact that they do not move. The new Yarcraft has a 150 Yamaha that will do 50 mph but will troll cranks all day long.(It needs a little help to get it to 1.8mph but it is easy and I don’t use socks to do it.) I think if you sat in all three it would be easier to make up your mind. They feel completely different and I think your fishing style will help you make your decision easier. On a side note I really like the new 2010 proguide but after having a glass ride I just cannot see myself going back to aluminum. Dan

Dean, is the tiller market something Skeeter has thought about getting into?
@doutdrsman, this thread is from 2007. But, maybe the OP is ready for another boat. You should post it in the classifieds.

Already are and have been. Pay attention would ya!
Yeah, but with Ranger, Lund, Warrior, Larson & probably Tuffy all offering 20′ tillers with 200’s on them, don’t you think the 115 limit is kinda lame?

HRG, everybody tells me mid 40’s out of those Skeeters with a 115 hp Yamaha. I did test drive one and it was scooting right along. Plenty fast for this old guy.
Personally, I just don’t see the need for 200hp tillers, but I suppose if I could afford one I might look at it differently.
Sad every time I see one of these old threads with Derek posting in it.

Dutchboy,
I agree with you, the performance of the 115 on that hull was pretty darn good.
But, the WX2000T that I got to run with a 275 Verado on it was more funner!

After you pointed out that picture last year I called Mertens. I got scared just thinking about it.
I assume he sold it?

I don’t know. I remember that it was one of the rare 2009 hulls that had a 150hp rating placard, so they might have pulled the V-rod off and sold them seperately.
