Hand Held Marine VHF Radio Recomendations?

    We’re heading up to Mille Lacs real soon and heard a hand held VHF marine radio is real important to have on board. Any recommendations on a quality brand? Best place to purchase?

    Hand helds are OK but they dont get out very far.For nearly the same price you can get a good one and an antenna.
