Hello……looking for a Sonar/GPS unit. Anyone have any suggestions ? Thinking in the $500 – $600 range. I dont do a lot of Big water fishing. Is there one that is a good value/performance package ?

    Thanks

I think you would like one of the Lowrance LMS models. I have the 334 and love it. the newer model is the LMS 500…or something like that. Great detail and features, color screen…and right in the price range you mentioned. Click on Jolly Ann Marine link at top of the page…i know they have them and are competitive on price. I am sure someone else will chip in on this…but I don’t think you can go wrong with one of the LMS models.

I agree, for the money and graphics this model works great. The 520 series has replaced it. Navionics card makes this a great unit.

Look in the classified section under fishing equipment. Wade at Jolly Anne has the lowrance 520C for $609 including shipping.
Personally I have the 522C which is an internal GPS antennae verson of the 520C. I love it.

Well sort of. Depending on where and how you fish.

There are areas that the Nav card is better and other areas were the Lakemaster chip takes the prize. I lean towards LakeMaster not only because they are a site sponsor, but because it zooms in closer than the Nav…but that’s important to me because of the way I fish. ( and there are few that fish like me!)

When you check out JollyAnn Marine…put the item what you’re interested in..in the shopping cart…sometimes there’s a different price there…to your benefit.

I had a 330c and now I run two 332c units in my boat with the Lowrance Network. In your price range, they are very nice units. I believe the LMS520c is one that replaced it, but there are a few others right in that price range too. Once you go color, you’ll never go back!!

Nope no lakes just pot holes. But my saving grace is I was born and bred Minnesotan just stranded here

Looks like a good deal to me, all things considered the current lowrance’s like the 520 (or whatever numer is Compareable) really hasn’t change much at all.
