Is anybody out there running the 200 Suzuki on their rig? I am trying to decide what to put on the back of the boat and I have not heard a lot about the 200 Suzuki. Anybody with any kind of first hand knowledge out there? I sure would appreciate any info that I can get.

Have a 04 200hp on my 04 and has never let me down once for perfomance or reliability. It has been flawless for the last 32 months, dead of winter/heat of summer.
Only thing I have done is your standard lube/filter changes, plugs, and winterizing. Had two recalls on an ECM module. Took longer to take the cowl off than to unplug and replug in the update. Fairly minor hassle for the many days it has supported me on the water.
Wouldn’t hesitate to get another one. Quiet, smooth, responsive, fairly fuel efficient running less than 4500. Open her up and you get the horses for top end speed as long as you don’t mind paying the tab, just like any other at full throttle.

I have a 200 Suzuki on the back of an Alumacraft Tournament Sport 185. It’s also an 04, but this was my first year with it. I was very happy with the overall performance and would not hesitate to buy another. Extremely quiet, good hole shot, good overall speed. As noted above, will suck the gas at WOT.
Richard – What was the ECM module recall? Does that have anything to do with the tilt and trim?
