I need some advice. I have a 225 opti and run a 80lb. 24v Terrova. I have had DualPro AGM batteries in the boat (2400 extreme cranking) and 2 x 3100 for the trolling. Called DualPro to order more and they are all on backorder…anyone have any luck with the Cabelas brand AGM’s or the gentleman at DualPro said to look into TrollingThunder batteries. Anyone have personnal experience with either of these? Or should I just stick with DualPro and wait for them to come off backorder.

I know there are alot of gel and other battery (trojan/interstate) that people have success with, but I am looking at staying with the AGM style battery.

    Thanks.

I have the Cabela’s AGM batteries. I also have a 80 pound terrova on a 19ft pro-v ifs with 200 four stroke. I purchased them this spring and so far I am very satisfied with them. Went on a week houseboat trip and used the electric alot for pulling rigs and casting. Batteries needed to be charged at the end of the week, but still had some left if I would have needed it. Hope this helps

Thus far the little I’ve heard about Cabela’s batteries has been positive. Find out who makes them, and I’ll bet you get even more feedback.

I also think it’s wise to stay with the agm batteries, versus the gel.
