Some time ago someone had a post with a solution for getting lake contour lines to show up better. Might have been Derek Johnston, or Chris Tuckner. Can’t remember who for sure, but it worked like a charm. I remember printing off the post for my “keep” file. It must not have made it there because I can’t find it and have forgotten how it was done. If someone can put up the thread that had this info or can post how it’s done, I would appreciate it.

I don’t know what kind of chip or unit your running, but I run lowrance and with the navionics chips, i find running it in night-view all the time gives the best view. Just adjusting overlays, brightness, and contrast don’t seem to make enough of a difference. Contours are crisp and clear and good locations can be picked out effortlessly.

    Good Luck

Yep, Fear is right! I was using my reader glasses with my lakemaster chip (how sad is that), until one day I was screwing around with my Lowrance 3500 and put it on night vision problem solved !!!
