The transom on my 1850 Fish Hawk is too wide for mounting a Honda 5hp. Anyone have experience with stationary or auxiliary mounting brackets for kicker motors? A lifting option on the bracket would be nice, but I would prefer something that can be removed when swimming, tubing, etc..

Panther Marine products makes a number of auxilary lifts for kicker motors in both electic and manual. On most of these models you have the flexibility to clamp your kicker motor on the mounts for easy removal. IT is suggested however to also bolt your motor to these mounts for maximum security in rough seas. THe mounts I am familair with are all models that bolt onto the back of your transom on your boat. Here is a link to panther’s website. I would check out Cabelas or Bass pro shops for additional aftermarket mounts.
