I think that I have finally narrowed down my selections to this particular 7″ color GPS unit.
Before making my jump, I would appreciate any positive and/or negative feedback.
Thank you in advance for all insight
    cheers

I ran the 6600c HD unit last year and loved it – I ran it next to a x111c HD on the dash of my boat.

If you can get your hands on a 7300 I would not hesitate – mine has been on order since January…

They’re a good GPS and at a really reasonable price for a 7-inch screen, but like Ted said, they have been hard to get. The question for most folks is do they need the hard drive. If it’s me, I get the 7200C instead and run my Lakemaster and Navionics maps on the GPS, rather than the pre-loaded maps. That is, unless I fish the great lakes or travel around the country a lot. In that case, the hard drive is probably worth it. Either way, I’m going to have my Navionics and Lakemaster maps though.

Not Sure I’d spend the money on a Hard drive myself, Honestly I don’t use it, atleast not at this point, and without the sonar, there is even less use for it IMHO. I’d buy a non HD one, and spend the extra on new cards myself. ( I run a 111)

I think you need to evaluate where you will fish to ensure that the HD is worth the extra money – i believe it’s ~$150. Each year I end up at lakes that I have never been to before and find that the HD with pre-loaded maps is a huge benefit. For example, in July when I was headed home from the Escanaba tour event Ranger asked me to stop in a dealership south of Wausau, WI and give demo rides for 4 hours on a flowage (sorry don’t remember the name). It was really nice to have a lake map pre-loaded on my hard drive of the 113 that I could pull up and use. Several folks that had 111’s did not have that map so Lowrance keeps adding more maps each year.

With that being said, I also have Lakemaster chips for MN, ND, MI, etc. and wouldn’t be without them.

Evaluate your situation and go with what will work the best for you!

    Good luck with your decision!

Thank you to all that responded.
Does not sound like anyone has had any problems with this unit.
I will weigh out the pros and cons regarding the hard drive.
    Thanks again guys
    cheers
