Leadcore vs Fireline

Fishing 22′ – 25′ and off the back have 3 colors of lead , with Crytsal Fireline leaders 15′ and pulling a #4 RS Rapala and always catch fish.
The out side lines I have 10/4 Fireline with Rip Shad 400, Bombers 24A , Rip Sticks etc all set to the Trollers Bible recommendation of feet out vs depth and do not get any hook ups??

The 112c show archs and we catch fish on lead but not on Fireline?

water is clear 1.8 mph etc.

Why does lead out produce the Fireline?
Looking for a big fish on bigger cranks on the outside lines but hardly ever get bit?

    Any advice?

Because the fish want the shad style bait. Those baits run different and are being pulled different. One bait is “almost” parallel being pulled by lead. The other bait’s line is almost perpendicular to the angle of attack of the Bomber. The Bomber has a much more agressive/different wobble.

Gary brings up very good points. Remember also, the core will fluctuate speed and up and down position, alot more than a superline will.

Gary has mentioned a few good points. I will share the first few things that come to mind we dealing with this situation.

    Angle of the lure
    Size of the bait
    Style of the bait
    Action of the bait
Speed changes ( bait show this more with lead)
Depth, If your trolling a break line your 2 center lines (lead) may be the only depth that the fish are at and your out side lines are not getting to them.

I am sure there is many other factors to this also. Just remember things can change from day to day. Some days they want it on lead and some days they want it on fireline.

    Hope this helps,

Are you doing the conversion to fireline? PT numbers are all 10lb Trilene XT.

Another hting to consider is your Line Counter Accurate???? In your driveway at home, Measure otu 50′, 100′ and 150′ now compare that to what your line counter reads. If you do not have the Spool almost fulll, your Line Counter will be way off. Just another thought to the others mentioned previous!

I agree with Lip, i just measured my line counters and because i was not spooled full my counters were off 25%-30%. The line counter said 150′ but true measurement was 98′. Good tip.
