Man, if I had only gone with the side-scan sonar from Hummingbird!

Here it is, late July and a call to Cabela’s to check on the friggin blue “T” connectors netted me a new delivery date of 13 August. I placed my order in early APRIL! Two “T’s” is all I need to complete install. A call to LEI extra’s gleaned this little tidbit, they have 300ish in stock, 500ish outstanding orders still.

A call for some help, does anyone have a “backdoor” phone number or email address to someone who I can voice some complaints to? These things should be able to be produced by the truckload in a typical day, I see no reason that these things are still impossible to find.

If any vendors happen to read this, or if anyone has a couple in the garage they dont need, happen to see some on a shelf someplace I would love to hear from you!!!

Am holding now to try to figure out why the sonar locks up randomly now. I know they will tell me transducer, but the thing has been buggy from the get go, I think the software aint right, no patches for the 113HD that I have seen yet.

Pease post or msg me if you can help out.

    Thank you, sorry for venting.

I might have one maybe two laying around but I’ll have to check. I don’t think???? I’m going to need them. I work in St.Louis Park so we could maybe meet up if I do have them.

Does that come with the resistor too? Do you have them instock? Is this the blue connector?

I have a brand new NEMA node kit that I am not going to use. It includes a blue tee, 2 120 resisters, and a 2′ network cable. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM. Like I said I will not be using it.

Good idea with the power cord!! I was thinking about that, my expansion kit came with one T and two terminators and a length of cable. But costs about 5o bucks. Think I’ll wander over to LEI extra’s and poke around and see what else ships with “t” connectors and see if something less painful to the wallet might be availible.

As a side note, the NMEA stuff was supposed to mean standard, low cost connectors. Meaning I thought that anything NMEA certified could uses the same connectors and be plugged into one another, wonder how many years it will be before they lose the proprietary crap and go that way.

Thanks for the offers of assistance, I am waiting on a few replies to PM’s and hopefully can start posting on the troubles I am expecting to have getting the two units to talk to each other once wired up!

I did order a new ‘ducer cable, Phone went dead while talking to lowrance yestarday, did not want to sit on hold for another 30 minutes. We’ll see if that works. I suppose I should carry a backup GPS puck onboard. Losing GPS on the pond at night would not be a good time~!

Well, when it rains, it pours!! The “T” connector issue I WAS having has been fixed and then some. I stumbled across a dealer in Maryland, http://www.byownerelectronics.com/store/home.php
Who had them in stock, they showed up Monday, I get home from work this morning, (wed.) and an email from Cabela’s was waiting for me telling me the connectors I have been waiting on since April shipped on Monday. Now I have 2 extra’s. I did not want to cancel the cabela’s order until I was certain I got the correct one’s from BOE’s less I end up at the back of the line again with Cabela’s. As hard as these were to get, I guess I will keep the around in case I get this wild notion to add another leg onto my system.

    This is for you Lowrance
