Contemplating purchasing a used Morrum. For those that own or have owned one in the past, are they as good as the reviews show?

Not sure if Blue Fleck is back from Mille Lac or not, but he has several and from what he says, they are awesome reels. Hopefully he will chime in here

    I agree with Wats.
Blue has several of them and can cast about 4 miles with them. Unbelievable….

I would love to get my hands on a couple!

Thanks guys. To many good reviews and reports on them not to snap this particular reel up. Steve, there are a few on Ebay right now.

I have 4 and I love everyone of them. 3 are the silver Morrum 1600SX and the other is the 1600SX Forell. The Forell is a bit touchy with some baits. right now I’m throwing swimjigs with it and it’s all I could ask for.

I got mine for about $100 each. If you can get them for that, go for it!

I used to have a Morrum reel, but I stupidly left it behind a bush on Rainy Lake. I loved that reel. Smooth. Very well made. I do not believe that they are currently making them are they? If I cannot recover mine, I may need to know the replacement cost. Do you know the price?

    Thanks.

Recieved my 5600C last week. Matched it up with a Compre. Had a chance to use it for a few days. Wow! Sweet setup! Casts like a dream, smoothest drag I’ve used, real smooth retrieve. Happy camper. I don’t believe they make them anymore. I picked mine up for $80. Ebay has had quite a few the last month but the price’s just keep climbing. This morning there was a 6600 at $175 with 2 days remaining. Watched a 6600 go for close to $400 a while back.

I’ve also come across a few others (5600) doing a internet search, prices were around the 100 mark, which doesn’t seem that bad considering their market value. Bummer on your gear.
