Hooking up to a 24v system

    Does it work to connect to one of the batteries on a 24v bow mount set up to get 12v for a depth finder? It would be easier to do that than run a wire from the back. Thanks.

    You will get a lot of noise on your depth finder when your trolling motor is running if you do this. Always run a direct connection to the starting battery or standalone battery (thru the appropriate fuse). Not as easy but well worth the effort!

    Thats how I do it, I don’t have any interference using a Garmin Locator.
    To minimize motor interference connect to the battery that has the negative trolling motor lead.

    That is exactly how I run the electrics on my boat. I dont get any notable interferance either.

    Some trolling motors or pumps make more *noise* than others, I have no problems in my set up now.
