Sunday I hit some waves and the trolling motor bounced up and dropped down into the water . This bent the base mounting plate and broke off the part of the housing that rotates the motor and keeps it on the base. The motor is Minnkota 55# autopilot about 6 years old. Does anyone know of a place where I could take it for repairs or get parts for it.

    thanks

    Mike

If you feel you can do it yourself, get ahold of Minnkota with the part# you need it will be much cheaper.

Fishlectronics off University in Fridley. I am guessing with what it will cost you might as well buy a new one.

You could also call the Motor Clinic in Bloomington, off Old Shakopee Road. They are an authorized Minnkota repair shop.

I have used Marine Electronics several times for repair and upkeep. I have had outstanding service. Same people that make Vexilars. My 87 Autopilot still running strong.
