I tried using the search function but couldn’t find any info on what would be a good line to use for jigs around 1/4 – 1/2 oz.

    Thanks…

My vote is with Power Pro too. I got fed up with mono line twist and switched to PP. I use 20#/6 or 8 dia on all of my reels. I have caught several 20# pike when jigging for walleyes in Canada and have yet to lose a fish. In fact the line and knot outlast the jig. I wouldn’t use anything else. If the water is super clear I will tie a mono leader to the jig. No line twist for me!!

Another vote for 10/2 PP with a side note. When vertical jigging for walleyes and the bite is very light I’d have an extra spool of mono on hand. My theory is with no stretch line during a light bite they can feel you before you can react to set the hook and…… they’re gone. It’s happened to me several times including a couple nights ago. That’s one time when it pays for me to use mono.
