I just lost the steering on my power drive. I have a brand new back up motor, so I tried it, but no luck. each pedal makes the prop spin, but neither will make it turn. is there anything I can do, or do I need to just take it to a repair place?
Try borrowing someones foot pedal to just see if it works ok with another pedal. If it does then your pedal is bad. If it doesn’t work with another pedal then its probably the thick cord as a wire inside it may be broken. I have had both replaced on mine.

Sounds like it could be a board, I would call Minnkota tomorrow, they can probably tell you much better, If it were me, I’d buy the board and do the work myself, (assuming it wasn’t under warranty). Easy job, anyone could do take ya like 10 minutes max.
