I have a 04 Crestliner Sportfish. It has a slow oil leak below on the steering column. There is a 710 , I mean OIL cap on the console. What type of oil or lube should I use, I was guessing 90W. I bought the boat used, and do not have any manuals. What does Crestliner recommend?

I’m assuming you have a Seastar or similar hydraulic steering system on your boat.

    Here’s some info >>>
Fluid requirements for Seastar Hydraulic Steering

Most boat dealers should carry the fluid you need. Before you add any more fluid take a look into stopping that leak. If you can’t spot the source you might want to take it into your dealer for a fix.

Yes, I have the Seastar hydraulics. I will take a closer look under the console tonight. Thanks, James.
