Looking for a good brand recommendation and also what blade length that seems to work the best.
    Thank You

Wife bought me a an American Angler 12V last year for father’s day. Love it. Blades are around 9 or 10″, but I don’t have it here with me right now.

I run it off the small 12v battery I have for the winter fishfinder and it works great. Truly a portable deal.

I’ve tried most of the different makes and models out there and hands down the American Angler is the best unit. I am on my forth year with this one and I have yet to change blades or have the motor burn up in it. The biggest problem that we see as guides in this area is the motors burning up, its tough to clean a days catch with an electric knife that is always warm and on its way out. Some of the other brands heat up causing the breakers to trip at the power outlet…never with the American angler though. Well hope this helps….

I have an American Angler which works great. The blades are 8 inches. The thing is rigger so I can either run it of the boat battery or electricity.
