Run some sea foam thru it that should clean it up.

Sounds similar to what happens when the Fuel pumps are getting weak on a yamaha….

When you store your motor thru the long months are you running it out of fuel first?
But as Nick said it may need a fuel pump itself..

just could be some water in the gas that you got at a station, run some sea foam through it, that will help a ton!!!

I would try the Sea Foam and make a few more checks. Is the primer bulb hard? Try squeezing it a few times and see if it makes a difference in starting. If it does then make these checks first. Check the O-Rings in the end of the fuel line that plugs into the motor, these get old and will start to suck air so the carbs don`t stay full, can cause a hard start. Check all fuel line conections. Bad primer bulb can cause fuel to drain back to the tank. Check the choke linkage makes sure the chokes are closing. If all these check out then I would look at a weak fuel pump.
