there is a spring that holds pressure against the piece that the zurk fitting is screwed into. pump enough grease into the zurk fitting until the spring loads up with some pressure from the grease. after you drive, the grease will distribuite throughout the bearings. you don’t want to over fill the hub, as the grease will push out of the seal on the rear side of the hub. if the rear seal is broken, water can get inside the hub and your bearings will rust and you will have to replace the bearings and the races. even with bearing buddies, i still repack all my bearings on all my trailers every fall, and replace bearings and races as needed. it is alot easyer to do it in the garage than on the side of a highway, in the dark, in the rain, without any tools……………….tom fellegy
