Yesterday my Intelli Map 480 started to turn its self off after 10 minutes or so I would then hit power key and it would run again for a few minutes then quit. It has never done this in the past. I erased all my trails when I got home. Has anyone else experienced this? So far this unit has run great for 3 years.

are your batteries in good condition? sometimes weak batteries may cause this. seems like electronics need full power to operate.
I had a similar problem with a different unit. It would run for bit and then just shut off. I had it wired directly to the battery with an in line fuse. Checked the fuse and it had corrosion or oxidation or some other form of crust built up on the prongs of the fuse. Cleaned the fuse holder and replaced the fuse. Haven’t had a problem since.
I will check all connectivity and the condition of the battery.
