Ok, I currently have an x51 on my boat now it works well, but I been hearing from a lot of different sources that the Vexliar Edge is probably the best bang for the buck out there, I like the idea of having both a high speed and low speed transducer. So my X-51 is not really even a year old, cost and cost me $200. What do you guys think about going up to the Edge? have any of you used it? I found I can get a refurbished on for $500, not sure what warranties or such are covered, but I assume they are the same as the original. Anyone ideas guys? I already have a nice GPS as is so the GPS ablility is not a selling point at all for me. I rather have a handheld one anyhow.

BTW I searched 20 pages or so of topics in the forum, and have not found much for fish finder reccomendations good or bad. I did see the 2 reviews on it, and they really seemed to like theirs.

I also have an X51 and it seems to do what I need. If I were to move up I’d probably get another Lowrance or an Eagle. I’m curious about the new Humminbird series (Matrix). Waiting to see what folks have to say about those.
