Just to let any one debating about going to one of Doc’s up coming classes, he’s going to be showing some next generation mapping I’ve been playing with of Oahe, called LiDAR. Using sweep lasers from an air craft they recorded the lake valleye during this low water down to almost 2 ft sq resolution with a tenth of a foot vertical. Thats the image of Indian Creek Camp ground I just posted. Notice you can see parking spots for each camp site. But Doc is going to show this stuff full res in areas that will be under water again some day.
Also he might show some work I’m also doing with imagery in 1948 of some of Francis Case from before they created the lake. I’ll post what I can next. His will be full res.

Francis Case at Chamberlain. The red line is the current shore line. You can see the out line of the hiway crossing to the bridge and Cedar Marina.

Warren’s mapping stuff is demonstrated in the mapping class along with teaching how to create your own depth contours for your Lowrance. He keeps finding new stuff for the mapping class. The Lowrance School covers the basics and advanced uses of your Lowrance. Understanding the sonar display, save waypoints, back up waypoints, underwater video of actual sonar recordings and using LakeMaster maps. Of course there is much more since I have 6 hours to teach!
