    Hello Everyone!
I have a Lund Classic 16 and I am thinking about putting a kicker on it. I already have a 6 hp Envinrude I am going to use and I need to know if there is anything I can do to protect the transom where I want to put it. Occasionally the kicker would not be used so I do not want to permanently attach it to the back of the boat. I have looked at kicker brackets and do not want to go that route. Would anyone out there know if there are plates or something that could be used. Ideally if there was something like a sleeve that could slip over the transom I would be interested. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

There are aluminum backer plates for inside the transom. They provide a surface for the clamps. On the outside where the motor touches I used pieces of rubber I had laying around and cut to shape. Not sure where I got the material but it was perfect.
