Multiple transducers, Interference problem?

    Transducer questions:
17′ Warrior, Lowrance electronics, all blue connectors.
I have mounted a 332c to the bow, hooked to universal sonar on my minnkota. I want to run a second transducer to the back of the boat so I can use that bow mount even when the trolling motor is not in use (or if I decide to leave it at home). I have the transducer switch box installed at the bow already (for one sonar with 2 transducers).
I also have a 111c and 25c at the tiller console and am just about to install separate transducers.
The Question: will I experience interference from having three transducers? (all three are single freq 200khz).
Can I share one transducer for the two bigger units at the console? Any issues with this?
I want the capability to use all 3 units as sonar at the same time. I will also network the 3 so that I can use GPS on all 3 at the same time.
Thank you in advance for any input you could give.

My best guess is yes, you will have interference. If you were deep enough you would probably also expereince interference with the 2 ducers also (bow & transom).

    SharkTeam,

I think you’ll have interference problems running two

200 khz transducers at the same time so three is definitely out.

You can’t share a transducer between two units at the

    same time.

I don’t think you’ll be able to have all three units

as working sonars no matter what you do.

Let us know what you come up with.

Wouldn’t be great if Lowrance would come up with a way to do this. My three pinpoints can do this right now so I know it can be done. I’m sure it’s probably because pinpoint still has the patent on this type of network. At one time I heard a rumor that lowrance was going to have a software update this month that would let us do just what we were talking about. I haven’t seen it yet. In the newest bass and walleye boats mag the electronics article said that they were looking for lowrance to use the as of yet ethernet connection on the back of the units for a propritary network to do this. Maybe they should just buy out pinpoints patent.

Yep i run 2 7520’s pinpoints and 2 vexilars no problems at all. Oh and 2 gps’s… I think i might need a new battery. Remember the days when just haveing a merc thruster was a big deal.

Thanks for your input guys. I am going to put the 3 transducers on tonight and will do some testing the next time out. Maybe I’ll have to just use one at a time, but it will be interesting to see what happens. I’ll report back after the test.
In the mean time, if anyone else has any input, feel free to share. Thanks, Dave

I get interference with my 337 on the bow and my 111 on the back when I’m deeper than 17′ give or take, the amount of interference I get at those depths so far has been ok, I can still use both units and read the accuratly, but there is interference, transducers are somewhere around 18′ apart.
