Wootsga! Wife went out and got some toys and goodies for our 7th anniversary. One of the bad items she got was a fenwick techAV light action 6’6″ with symetre 750 for the good ol pan fishing season. Anyone have anything like this? How does it perform? Good rod for crappie season maybe even walleye? Can’t wait till this weekend ~ Crappie Tourney ftw! quite spendy for a panny rod i thought.

When you said the wife was going to get some toys I thought you were posting on the wrong forum. You will like the Techna AV it is a great rod. Good luck with the rest of the toys.

I have the Fenwick TechnaAV. Mine is medium action and is perfect for the walleye fishing I do… and not TOO heavy that I couldn’t use it for pannies in a pinch!!! Argueably, similar in quality to the St Croix Avid. I like mine.

I have a few of the TechnaAV’s and they are a sweet rod. The Symetry reel is tough to beat too.

Real nice combo you got there. You won’t be dissapointed.
