I’m planning to put an Apollo SS prop on my 90hp Mercury 2 stroke. I have a 16.5′ Lund Explorer. The new prop would be 13 1/8 dia. with a 19 pitch.

I’m wondering if anyone has any opinions on the Apollo SS props? How’s the performance?

Never heard of the Apollo? What prop are you running now?

    Rpms now? Recd rpm’s?

I’ve got the factory prop on it now. It’s an alum MI Wheel. Nothing special. It’s 12.75 x 21. I’m tired of getting beat up on the rocks and just looking to go stainless steel.

Cant say anything about the Apollo, 19p sounds like it might be a good size with the increase in diameter.

EBAY can be a good scource for props, a good prop might be a Merc Lazer, or there Vengaence

Not all props are equell in the same pitch.

What are turning now for rpms?

I have a 15 pitch apollo stainless and it’s a nice prop. Has descent cupping and handles the corners well. I got mine real cheap so I can’t complain!!!

How cheap? And, do you have any buying tips for me?

I can get one for under $200, which appears to be pretty good. But, if you know a way I can save more, I’m all ears.

Wow! That is a great deal. It’s good to have friends in the right places.

Kirt, I don’t remember what I’m running. I’m going to give this one a shot. I need to have a new one on the boat for this coming weekend.
