This is the second time that I have had a bubble develope on the out side of my 13 inch trailer tire. I stopped at Good year on my last road trip but they did’nt have any regular boat tires but reccommended going with radial tires for a better ride & lastability. They also said that they were more common. Any truth in this?

I have radial marine tires on both my trailers. One boat is a 1675 Explorer SS Lund and the other is a 20′ Fiberglass with an I/O and the trailering is no comparison to the bias-ply tires…. go with the marine radials…no weather cracks, better trailering, less worries….this has been my experience

I have radial tires on the Eagle trailer I have now and love em. They give a smoother ride, your boat will tow easier with them, and they are better built and last longer. The only way to go. Thanks, Bill

Ditto to the other guys telling you to go with Radials. I have them on both boat trailers and they have been fantastic! The boat pulls better and cracks/seams in the road are hardly noticable whereas with bias ply the trailer catches those things and whips over.

I have Goodyear Marathon Radials on both of my boat trailer’s and I’m very happy with the way that they perform. In my opinion,(that’s not saying much lol.) it’s the only way to go.
