I am wondering if folks can suggest a dealer or person that could replace the floor in my boat. I am also considering replacing the carpet I have with snap in carpet. Any suggestions in this area would be helpful.
    Thanks

In my opinion, carpeting has no place in a boat. It acts like a sponge and rots the wood out under it.

When the carpet/floor in my Crestliner went I gutted the boat and replaced the floor with regular plywood and several coats of paint. It’s not pretty but it was cheap and is functional. I figure it will be good for another 10 yrs.

I looked into aluminum diamond plate but that was way too expensive.

The most important question in regarding this is:

Do you have an aluminum or glass boat?

    Aluminum is easy.

Glass boat…….well, it sucks for lack of better terms.
