    Hey jig-casting experts. Now that Trilene has stopped making Sensation in the hi-vis green, what lines have you guys been using? I will be doing all my fishing on Pool 4. I am in need for a lot of respooling, and I want to make the right choice. Thanks

    We still have it Tony.Also have had good comments on the Hi vis suffix.No one can agree on one single line,they all have some plus and minus qualities.

    Like Dean said, Suffix.

    I asked the same question a few months ago and was suggested to Suffix Elite. So far this spring up here on P2 I have been using Suffix Elite in yellow and have no complaints. The stuff is strong and abrasion resistant.

    Is the suffix more or less stretchy than the Sensation?

    Tony, I like power pro in the yellow color. Then I tie on a mono leader about 24″ long. If you get snagged up, you can snap the line back and usually get you jig back.

    I just spooled up some 10lb spiderwire stealth. I dont yet know how long its gonna last, but it seemed like Id cast half as hard and itd go twice as far, very smooth. Also cuts the water well, getting down to bottom much quicker. Ive used the original before and it frayed quite a bit, but for 12$ a roll, for superline, why not…

    What do you mean they stopped making sensation in hi-vis green?!?!?! I’m worried, so I checked the berkley website and you can still buy it there… If they’re going to stop making it, I’m buying a bunch. Any more info on that?

    I was just at Fleet Farm in Brooklyn Park and they had lots of hi-vis Sensation.

    I haven’t heard anything about hi-vis sensation being axed.

    I will say that I’ve made a complete transition from sensation to the Sufix lines in yellow and tangerine over the past year. I had a couple of issues with the 8lb lines but am entirely satisfied with the 6’s, both in the Siege (tangerine) and Elite (yellow) versions. With the rebates that Sufix is running and the easy availability at Everts, it’s been an easy switch to make!

    Jason;
    What happened with your “incident” with the 8lb Suffix?

    I’m running the 8lb Siege and so far I really like it, other then when it gets “really” cold.

    Gary….you hit on the essential point…”really” cold, ie teens or lower 20s. Those conditions gave me a ton of line memory and nasty nasty coiling with the 8lb test line.

    I started switching over to 6 (at Tuck’s suggestion) back in February and haven’t looked back.

    I gotta tell ya, I’ve taken a real liking to Sufix as well. That stuff is really great, especially for crappies. But I jigged with some this last weekend, and the Sufix performed pretty well. I was jigging in rocks, so that’s the biggest reason I was using it. I really like Fireline for jigging as well, but this Sufix is pretty darn good stuff.

    Sensation is still available. I think the color you are looking for is Solar.
