Sorry, the buildup is on my motor not in my motor.

Vinagar. The white stuff. If it is heavy, use it straight. Lighter amounts I would cut 70/30 vinegar to water. The acetic acid will disolve the scale on your motor.

Try some white vinegar. I usually mix with some water. The worse the water spots, the less water I use. I’ve never had any problems using it on decals either. Best to always try a little spot on your decals first to make sure it doesn’t react. Not a chemist or vinegar expert, but I think the stuff is pretty safe & works good.

My wife used to work for Zep she got me this stuff called Zepride spray on wait 20 seconds rub a little and wipe off. Best stuff I have found. Also works for cleaning the boat.

If the Vinegar doesn’t work for you, try CLR.

CLR has a lot of HCL acid in it, as does Lime Away. They WILL work..albeit maybe a little to aggressive where your paint is concerned. But it will definitely work.

Vinegar works well. Especially if you stay on top if it and don’t let it build up. On motors where it seems to get baked on from the heat, little tougher to get off and that’s where I’ll use the CLR. But yes, definitely try it on a small area first.
