Hey guys, I need some input on mounting a x111 on a ram mount. I have seen numerous models recommended, but thought I could get some hands on advice here. My concern is due to the weight of the unit, I want to be sure it can hold it up in the rollers. Let me hear who has had success with what!

    thanks

Click on the links below. I have the first one and it has worked well but I have it resting on a Horizontal Ledge. so it does not move. The second one is the BIG ONE. Depending on your needs one of these should work. The long arm puts the unit in a good viewing spot for my set up.

I’m running a ram mount 111 something or another with my 111, so far so good. You want to make sure and get the big ball, Both Gander Mountain and Cabela’s seemed to have a bunch of choices in stock when I was looking.

I think that the 10″ arm would be too long for me. So I am thinking the 7″ is the one, I think the model would be the Ram-111u.

    thanks!

Yeah I think mine is the “u” now that you mention it. For my case, I ended up buying a bunch of different mounts and trying them all until I found on that fit, a little on the hard side to explain to the wife why I needed more than $200 in ram mounts at one time, I ended up returning all but the one I run now, atleast I didn’t end up wondering if another mount would worked better, I know my set-up is done the only way it could be my 111 barely fits on my console, though I love the screen size, it may actually be a little big for my console, I was really sweating it until I finally got it sorted, especially after the wife said “Wow are you sure that’s going to fit on the dash?” and I shrugged it off like it was a silly question

Yeah, I am not sure how this is going to work for me either. It is going on the console of 619 with the full windshield, and I am trying to position it so I can see both the in dash unit as well as the x111. All I can do is try!

    thanks!
