I am looking at buying a Lund Mr Pike 17 that has a 135 Optimax on the back of it. I was wondering if anyone would have an estimated guess on what the top speed of this rig might possibly be. Thanks

My buddy has a Mr. Pike 17 with a carbed 115 Merc.

Empty load, I think he got about 47 out of her. Full load I think he is running around 43?

I’m guessing you should hit 50? All depends on prop and also gear ratio differences, if there is any?

I use to have a 2001 Mr Pike 16 with a 2001 Johnson 90 hp 2-stroke and it ran 42 with just me and a good clean [no nicks] aluminum prop. Based on that I would say upper 40s for sure.
    Thanks, Bill

I run an older 18ft with a 70 Merc and she will do 35 downstream with the wind at my back. Average around 31-32.

I got the 135 Opti on a 182 (18′-2″ Deep V))Crestliner and depending on the prop I have gotten 44-49 mph GPS top speed.

I got a Mr. Pike 17 with a 115 yamaha. I agree with the others that you should be able to get close to 50 mph.
