Well I just learned something new. I have a new 1750 fish hawk and with anything new, you learn something new every once in a while. Well my latest episode had to do with the gas line going from the cap to the tank and vent tube. Well I didn’t realize that the vent tube on this Perko gas fill was located next to the gas line under the cap. So when I tried to just pore gas from a gas can into the tank I ended up filling the vent tube too. So no air could escape and poof the gas line filled up. So what to do. Well I just happened to have a small plastic hose, the type one would use on an aquarium to supply air. Well I fished that small platic hose down into the take and then blew air into it creating a temporary vent.

So what did I learn. You have to fill the tank by putting the gas hose down into the gas line otherwise you end up takeing a bath in gas like I did. So I’m keeping the small plastic tube with me just in case it happens in the future.

I’m gonna have to check that one out. I can just see myself filling the boat with gas one morning, and splash nice gassy bath. That would be nice to be in the boat all day smelling so swee. Thanks for the tips!

It would probably take care of some of that unwanted bodily hair anyway…….
