Navionics and Lakemaster Chips

First off this may have already been asked but I am a newbie to the site and thought I would post. I was thinking about getting a Lowrance I finder H20 C Gps and was looking at the different map chips that you can use with them. My first question is what are the differences in the 06′ to the 07′ navionics chips? It seems they add more lakes to them each year but I was wondering why the 07’s are $50 more than the 06′ models. I was curious if they add new lakes from year to year on each chip or what makes the price go up. I heard Wade can probably answer my questions but anyone else who may know feel free to chime in. Also I see that the lakemasters chips are being completed in Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin, anyone know if they are more detailed than the other manufacturers and when they will make it further south to Nebraska and South Dakota to survey the lakes down here and come out with chips for more southern states. Just curious what everyone is using for chips and how they like them.

    Thanks

    Layne,

Welcome to IDA! The ’06 chips used to be $149 too, but the price dropped when the new 2007 chip was released. The difference between the two is they added more lakes and surveyed lakes that were not survey before.

Right now, Lakemaster does not offer coverage in your area but the will continue to expand in the future. Detail is vey good on survey lakes on both Lakemaster and Navionics chips.

Now thats what I call a great looking Avatar. Oh…you are talking about the guy ….and not the female walleye. You will have to excuse me but to me a good lokking female has a big gut and scales. No wonder why I have never remarried. Seriously, that pic of him with the eye would make a great looking avatar. Very nice fish. Way to go.
    Thanks, Bill

Did they add any Nebraska lakes on the 2007 card?
