Rod holder issues….

When I store rod in the rod holders (storage type, not the side of the boat fishing ones) in my boat, the tips of the rods rub against the side of the boat. My boat has the aluminum painted on the inside walls and the rod tips are rubbing the paint off when the boat is trailered. I would prefer not to take the rods out when trailering, is there a protective sock type thing that wont fly off in the wind that I can use to protect just the tips of the rods and the boat paint? I know that a sock and rubber band would probably work fine, but come on-I wasnt raised in a trailer!

    Thanks!

You know what I say. If it works for me, I don’t care what it looks like.
I spent about 20 g’s on my boat and other accy’s,then made my rod holder. It looks like it too, but it works great and people always ask me where I got it. Feels good when I say “I made it!”
If the sock fits, wear it!

Drift control makes something that might work for you.

I recently got a bunch of these at Fleet Farm $5 each. So far I’d have to say they are well worth it.
