Windshield mount for H2O looks like nice idea

Friend had a windshield mount this weekend on Winni. I just layed mine on the dash. What a great convenience the ram mount was. It used a suction device and ram mounting system to extend the face of the GPS right in front of you for hands free easy viewing. I just ordered mine today. I’m sure I can use it on the boat windshield as well.

They work very well as long you get the kind that has the lever that sucks it to the windsheild tighter. This kind is solid I use mine all the time. No need for paper maps anymore with the LakeMaster chip in the H2O

    Like this?

I love mine. The lever really locks it down well and it stays in place!

No more sliding around on the dash, looking down at it, or trying to hold it with a free hand. It’s great .

Make sure you check regulations for having anything in the way of drivers view. I was stopped this year, officer said it could’nt be on windshield!! I moved mine to the drivers side window……….no ticket just warning! Lucky..

It is illegal to have it in your windsheild. Its just one of those things that is just an excuse to pull you over. I put mine in front of the review mirror, so its not visible.

It’s blocked by the pillar pretty good so it doesn’t stick out or block my view too bad.
So Matt your yours is mounted to the dash just below and in front of the Mirror can’t quit picture that?

    I concur with both statements.

That pic is the one. I heard Gander had them but the one in Woodbury doesnt or much of anything else in support of H2O’s for that matter. Went to Ram home page and used their links to suppliers. It’s definitely illegal just like fuzz busters but that doesnt stop many of us from using them. On a big lake its not an issue. I wouldn’t leave one on there when I know where I’m at.

I’m able to put the suction cup behind the rearview mirror. And then I can adjust the arm so the gps sits in front of the mirror.

I have the suction mount as well. It holds to just about anything.

I’d reccoment the lever suction cup that Matt talked about ealier. I have the kind you just press on and if you are by yourself driving late at night and it falls off it will scare the daylights out of you. As soon as I see one with the lever I’ll be switching to it.
