I just added a Ballitic prop to my 115 Yamaha and I would do it again. I increased my top speed by 4-5 MPH and my hole shot has improved.

I have a 115 on a new 1750 C-liner. The right prop for me was 12 5/8X 21″. The 13X19 gave me too many RPM(6200). You shouldn’t go over 5900-6000 RPM. The new prop gives me 46mph @ 5800 RPMs with a full tank, gear, and 2 big guys in the boat.

    I went with a 13.25 X 19 Ballistic. Top rpm are 5800 to 5900.

Snagger, how does your boat stack up against your freinds 140 Suzuki?

Kurt, I can now go as fast if not faster than his 140 Susuki. He is not to happy with the speed of his 140 vs my 115 Yamaha.

    GitBit,

Welcome to the site! I personally can’t help you with the prop inquiry but there will be someone on here who can I’m sure. Hold tight. Can I ask what type of lures you build?

    Thanks,

    Wade

Fist off is your buddy using a speedometer or GPS. Speedometers are notorious for being off traveling up stream or down stream how much current, makes difference what the speedometer reads. How is his motor set up on the transom, how is he loaded, no. off people how much equipment, what type of water conditons. I hate to say anything bad about any product. But if you really talk to serious bass (Tournament) fishermen, they will tell you they don`t think much of the ballistic props. In fact walk through a landing at a bass tournament and see if you even find one boat running the ballistic prop. ( To me that pretty much tells the story )They don`t get the performance or lift out of Ballistics that they get out of rakers, four bladers and five blades. In my experience running bass boats. The Ballistic props will cavitate and you don`t get as much bow lift when you really try and trim them up versus a raker. Rakers are designed to run shallower, closer to the surface of the water.

That is just my opinion, from my expereince.
    My two cents worth
