My brother in law had a stroke this winter and wants to get back into fishing. He has full use of one arm and hand but has difficuties with the other. Has anyone seen a electric reel that would allow him to retreive by pushing a button or switch? Otherwise what kind of rod holder is stable enough to hold the rod so he can retrieve with his good hand? Any info would be appreciated. He really misses fishing.

I have seen electric (auto retrive) reels for handicapped people. I am sorry that I cant provide any more info-but they do exist.

Here is a link to some saltwater models:

just do a yahoo search for “electric reels” and search away
