I’M LOOKING FOR A ICE-FISHING SUIT TO WEAR AND I WAS LOOKING AT THE ICE ARMOR, IT DOESN’T LOOK THAT WARM. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT TYPE OF SUIT I SHOULD GET, I’M OLD AND I NEED SOMETHING TO KEEP ME WARM!!

    THANKS

I’m sure others will chime in but one of the best options out there is the cabelas guidewear. not only is it fantastic cold weather gear, they stand by there products and take back just about anything if it malfunctions. it’s an investment, but it’ worth it

Mustang survival suits are nice and well worth the money. They keep you warm and will keep you afloat if you happen to go thru the ice.

Love my Ice Armor don’t think I could fish without padded knees again the coat is set up perfect for icefishing if you layer underneath accordingly you will not get cold.
If I had to do it again I would consider the New Ice Armor the bibs look awesome or Walleye Dans Arctic Armor nearly identical to Ice Armor but it has floatation built into the suit.

Guidewear would be another good all around option.

Artic Armor is what I have and it is awesome, and it floats too.

I ordered mine and had it on my doorstep the next day. WalleyeDan is a great guy and the product is unreal. For Spring fishing at Dean’s in Red Wing to fall on Mille Lacs I will be using it. (I won’t be using it in the summer), but the other three seasons I will have it ready to go.

This year I am using the new Ice Armor Convertible bibs and the Strike Master Ice Essentials Parka. The bibs can be converted into just a pant is you do not like the upper bib part. With the water proof padded knees kneeling down by the hole to fish is no longer a problem. The Ice Essential jacket is cut longer then some of them and features a ton of pockets for all your fishing needs.

Staying warm is the first step to a great outing!

When it is super cold out, I wear insulated Guidewear. Other than that, I now wear my Gamehide. Guidewear is the warmest suit out there, at least of the ones I have tried. My Gamehide is the best fitting suit I have ever had. Both are super durable and work well for fishing on the ice
