my next question is has anyone used the ram gps adapter plate that allows you to mount the gps antenna behind the receiver and does the receiver get in the way of getting good reception with your satellites. i want to mount the plate on the johnny ray does anyone know if the holes line up. lots of questions and no where close to go and see for myself.

I have ued the RAM plate and it works fine. Not sure if the holes line up to a Johnny Ray, but that’s why they make drills.

I’ve had people tell me that their windshields mess with their ability to gain the satellites’ signal, which doesn’t really make a lot of sense to me. I can have my boat inside the garage and still pick up a signal with my 332c!! I think you’ll be all right.
