The first thing I would do is turn it off..re insert the chip and restart it.

When it starts, does it show it’s reading the card on the display? There will be a little chip icon…in the lower right corner (?)

If Brian’s restart suggestion doesn’t work, go into the map menu you need to select the chip you have in the i-finder – then life will be good.

I’d try it in someone elses unit. If it still don’t work I’d see about exchanging it. I have heard of chips going bad before.

Make sure the chip is in tight?? Put it in and shake the unit,(not hard) watch the screen you will see the chip start to brink in the bottom right corner if it is reading. if it work and then doesn’t the chip isn’t tight.

Or go to Map Data, Then go to Map Choice and make sure you have the Lowrance one picked. Let me know if that works or not????

If you call Lakemaster Monday morning they will walk you through a couple of test steps to determine the problem.

Is the chip locked?????? On the side of the chip is a little lock switch….make sure its not locked…when they are locked it won’t show anything….the GPS cannot read the chip!
What area are you trying to read? Make sure you zoom in far enough to read data on lake, sometimes you need to be inside of 4 miles to read any lake contours!!!

Just some suggestions….if all else fails call Lowrance or Lakemaster in the morning!!!!

    Sorry to hear that.

I guess those things happen. Did they say how long of a turn around time?
