has anyone used these I hear they are supposed to be good but the one in my truck doesn’t seam to have to much lasting power and then when it is dead it seams like it takes a lot to get it charged up again, is this just a fluck with my luck or is there something I need to know about them?

Are you talking about Optima batteries? If so, there Blue-Top marine batteries have like the most advanced cell-technology in the world…

I had one in my boat for 6 months. The last time I took the boat, that battery wouldn’t take a charge. They gave a new one and that has worked well, so far.

Wow. Ok, I’ll be honest. I have never owned Optima batteries. However, I fished a tournament a few years back down on the Tennessee River directly under the Kentucky Dam and the only guys who could fish all day were the guys running 3 Optima batteries. I was done in ~6 hours. Although, at the time I was only running a 24V trolling motor.

My honest opinion is Trojan and the Everstart batteries are a better deal than the Optimas. Not that they last longer, it’s just that they have worked great for me and the price is right compared to the Optimas.

I have a Red top in my truck and Blues in the boat. The Blues work great on my trolling motor. They last 2x longer than my old ones and charge a lot faster. It is possible you have a bad battey…
