I was thinking of purchising a strike-lite power auger. Wondering if its worth the price. Christmas came and left me with some gander mountian cash so I would make my purchase there. I do not have a four wheeler but hope to next winter. I would be pulling it in the back of my fish trap voyager so Im looking for something lite. opinions please.

YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS. The Strike Lite is the Shiz Nit. I was a bit worried about the plastic auger in cold temps, but it was not a problem. The only thing that I do not like is the blade gaurd. Mine broke after the second trip. The 4 stroke has some real nice low end grunt even though it doesn’t sound like a chainsaw out on the ice.

I probably only have about 1000 holes on mine, but it works like clockwork. Very dependable motor as far as smooth running and nice starting. It is really nice not to have to mix the gas. Just fill it up and you are good for most of the weekend.

A real nice feature is that it does not stink when running it. Would be real nice option for a permanent shack down the road.
