I’ve been looking at these lately, and you can see them right HERE.

My question is basically what you guys think of em. Are they really necessary? I’m wondering if they’re really worth the cash to put one on my Yammy 15hp to control the speed to a T. I’m looking forward to hearing what you guys have to say about em.

I put one on my t-8 last summer and I love it. I run my kicker via my steering wheel so no more running back to adjust speed.
The momentary burst of speed option is also handy, you get full speed as long as you need it and then back to your original speed when you are done.
And best of all you get great precision speed control.

They are also very easy to install, hour or so.

I’ve got one to. I really like it, it’s very accurate and it’s kind of like cruise control for sleep trolling around mille lacs at night.

Yep a friend of mine has one of these units on his boat. All I can say is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Hope I get to keep my boat, if I do I will have one someday.
This with Panther steering makes an awesome unit

Yep, they are a very sweet little unit. I know a few guys that had some minor problems, and Trollmaster took ultra good care of them.

A must have for serious trollers. I won’t have a boat without one. Unless someone I know comes up with something better.

For open water trolling they’re the bomb. For contour trolling or in current, keeping the tiller in the hand is the only way to go.

    I will second that

and add, if you use the remote throttle and steer option for your kicker like I do, they work very well in getting your speed dialed in exactly.
