Anyone have any reliable information as to when these are comming out? I am in dire need of a 50hp but can not get a straight answer out of my local dealer – he can’t seem to get a straight answer from Evinrude.

As far as I am concerned there is only one outboard on the market these days! That is anything made by Yamaha! Everything else is just an engine and a prop waiting for your dissapointment….trust me I have a mercury! My buddy has a Yamaha and every chance I get I fish in his boat!

Neil, I don’t have the ph #, but if I were you I’d just call Bombardier and get the info from them. I feel your frustration buddy.
Oh yeah, thanks again for building that rod for me.
See, I told you I’d get it on here somewhere!

Last I knew, Yamaha makes a lot of the power heads for merc. Please correct me if I’m mistaken.

yup, merc. 4 strokes above 60 are powerheads made by yamaha… merc. makes up to 60. This is 4 stroke only though…

Reckon maybe calling them would be the simplest thing to do. Have been trying to purchase here locally for so I can hold’em to service and warantee stuff.

Looking like it’ll be the first non-Evinrude I’ve ever had to buy then… can’t wait that long.
