Does anyone have a storage proceedures for these pumps? My boat is two years old (Lund) and the bilge pump blew a fuse when I brought it out of storage this year. I pulled the pump and found it’s sealed without any way to get WD-40 into it. After working the armature a while and replacing it back in the boat, it works better than it did last year (quiet).
Now my live well pump is loud enough, that if I had the flashing lights, other boaters would think I’m the water patrol!
I do make sure that there’s no water in or around them before storage.
Any thoughts?
